In case you missed it last week, New Zealand fishermen netted a colossal squid down in the Antarctica waters
. Took ’em nearly two hours to drag the thing onto the boat and it weighed in at 990 pounds. If you were to cut it up in to calamari rings, they would be as big as tractor tires.
Oooooh… tractor tire sized calamari rings…
Of course I want see one of those super giant squids netted. The kind Thor Heyerdahl describes in his book, Kon-Tiki, that came to the surface at night to feed with the big, glowing eyes and estimated their size to be that of a whale.
